Just buy the boots. They don't really look all that bad with other armour.

Yes, but I meet the strength requirement, so I might as well go for it. Makes sense for me to get the best tin can that I can get my hands on. I have another set of radiant armor for when I'm doing other things (insignias purchased before they got crazy for a while)

Yeah, Luckly I managed to get some for my heroes before the price skyrocketed, now the rest of my heroes will have to wait.

One thing you have to realize about nightfall that is different about the other games, is Nightfall gives you tons of money just from quests/killing. It is much easier to step out of the door of a town and make a few plat from an area than it ever was in factions/prophecies.

In nightfall, I was actually able to keep a steady income, instead of always having to go out and farm for gold to get that next set of armor. Each game was designed seperate with a different system, and the ability to combine the games is just an added feature...thats it. Nobody said they all had to have the same way of doing things. Prophecies is all about getting skills easy, factions is about easy xp, and nightfall is all about easy money.

This is why people say SO WHAT IF IT COSTS AN EXTRA FEW PLAT. There is more to balancing out the game than comparing apples to oranges. They have the whole damned fruit basket to think about.

besides most insignias have dropped to their "normal" prices. I hardly have any of my hero's with insignias other than radiant anyways. if you run good builds on your hero's, they shouldn't have a need for "+10 armor while XXX".

3200 gold. That's more than the armor it will be applied to. A single piece of max Elonian armor with one of these insignia will cost anywhere from 2100 to 4200 gold per piece.

On the other hand, I can go to Cantha and get any of these armors, including "Radiant" armor, for 1500 per piece, not counting materials.

Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this picture?

Radiant Insignia are turning into the Superior Vigor of Insignia... but they're much, much more critical to the game and the function of a character than are Superior Vigors.

More and more I'm finding myself convinced that Insignia were a bad idea. I think it is highly disturbing how the basic equipment needed to play the game -- I do not mean rare weapon skins or perfect mods, but a simple things like max AL armor -- have steadily increased in price with each chapter, making it harder and harder on the new and casual player. Insignia are a huge step forward (or perhaps I should say backward) in this trend.

Insignia should not, repeat not, under any circumstances, be a dynamically priced commodity. They need to be frozen at 500 gold apiece, regardless of attribute, in order to make a fair comparison with earlier chapters' armors.

And while you're at it, make an Insignia Crafter, separate from the Rune Trader.

Ok so go to cantha for armor then. I fail to see any substance to this complaint.

the traders stock and prices are global and help on a seperate server... If you ask a friend in Europe to look at the trader the same as a friend in US, the details will be the same

It's just more poor people whining because they don't get the concept of selling to merchant or other players. I'm no 1337 farmer but just doing treasure chests and selling to merchants I've got 80 something thousand on both my accounts. I'm working on getting some primeval armor now. Treasure chest runs alone in elona will net you 50K by endgame.

This is an old thread. People were complaining when the game released because the insignias were high in price. Now they have normalized so for the most part it shouldn't be an issue...
